National Poetry Month 2022- Foundlings and Wonderments- Poem #15 Extraordinary

"Extraordinary

I am trying

to teach myself

to slow

And ponder

ordinary miracles.

The wonder of

finding five fat turkeys

perched atop a chain link fence

Across the street

from the dentist office

on a regular Wednesday afternoon.

A tiny miracles.

Inserted into a very ordinary day.

Extraordinary.

Ordinary miracles has been a concept in my life, as well. The oncoming spring provides lots of material. At school you have miracles, small, extraordinary ones on a daily basis, no doubt.
Exquisite poem! Your poems elicit a response!

Maybe there is no such thing as an ordinary day...
