It has been a long week

and I am wiped.

I would like a quiet night

with a book

and the CU basketball game.

Instead,

I am sitting

in the living room

While teenagers

Compose rap music

on Garage Band

Repeating and revising

Endlessly

Directly below me.

I guess it's good

that I know where they are.

I am longing for a beach right now.

I want to get on an airplane.

And go somewhere.

Anywhere.

With sand.

And waves.

And sunsets.
