Moving In
My computer was in the shop, so I've been away from blogging for a couple of weeks. Next week I'm starting school, (officially anyway), back in my own classroom after many years of central administration, school administration, and literacy coaching. I'm excited to be back doing what I love most, but also very nervous. Not sure I even remember what to do the first day…
I have decided that this poem will be my "theme song" for the year.
God Says Yes To Me
Kaylin Haught
I asked God if it was okay to be melodramatic
and she said yes
I asked her if it was okay to be short
and she said it sure is…
Sweetcakes God said
who knows where she picked that up
what I'm telling you is
Yes Yes Yes

Nice. Very inspiring indeed. Will also start classes on Monday. Oh woe is us. But yeah, I know what you mean about looking forward to it as well. This poem is a nice reminder of that.
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog & am enjoying it. Best wishes in your classroom. The students may show you well what you've been missing! I like the poem-good inspiration for the week to come.
ReplyDeleteThe students entering your room on the 18th are in for a special year. The growth and learning in the room will be awesome.
ReplyDeleteoh Carol, I miss your sweet voice, brimming with ideas and love for your students and boys...I check you every day...do you love your new role? how are the boys playing?
